Notes & Narratives – Toner Quinn: ’10 Impossible Ideas for Irish Traditional Music’

In this talk, Toner Quinn will put forward ’10 Impossible ideas for Irish Traditional Music’. The ideas relate to everything from funding to education and from broadcasting to housing and all are impossible – or are they? Toner is a fiddle player, writer about music, editor of the Journal of Music, and lecturer in publishing at the University of Galway.

Notes & Narratives will take place in 15 Henrietta Street, Dublin 1 and will start at 8:30pm on Thursday 17th November 2022. Admission is €10 (concession rate €5). For those unable to attend in person, it will also be live streamed for free through our channel NPU-TV.

The Ace and Deuce of Piping Concert is Na Píobairí Uilleann’s annual flagship concert. For many years the concert has presented some of the finest traditional musicians, singers and dancers from Ireland and abroad.

Na Píobairí Uilleann are delighted to be returning to an in-person concert this year in front of a live audience at Liberty Hall Theatre, Dublin.  The concert will take place on Saturday 1st October at 8pm in Liberty Hall Theatre, Dublin.
