International Uilleann Piping Day 2023

International Uilleann Piping Day, a global celebration of the unique Irish pipes or ‘uilleann pipes’, will take place around the world on Saturday 4th November 2023.

This co-ordinated day of piping activity organised by Na Píobairí Uilleann, is aimed at raising awareness of this iconic Irish instrument. Events will be held online or in person.

As in previous years, piping recitals, exhibitions, on-line broadcasts and discussions explaining the instrument and how it is made will take place across different time zones and those interested in learning more about the uilleann pipes can attend an activity in your locality or tune into online activities through the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/uilleannpipingday set up specifically for this event.
