Higher National Diploma in Irish Traditional Music Performance, Instrument Making, Repair & Maintenance 2026/7

Na Píobairí Uilleann are pleased to announce that City of Dublin FET College will again be offering instrument making as part of their Higher National Diploma (Level 6) in Irish Traditional Music Performance and Traineeship in Instrument Making, Repair and Maintenance in the 2026/7 academic year.

The programme is 2 years long, and students will have the opportunity to undertake strands in uilleann pipemaking, amongst other instruments. All instrument-making components of the course are delivered by Na Píobairí Uilleann in our PipeCraft training centre. The course is suitable for musicians who wish to develop and improve as performers, while the instrument making component caters for an increasing demand for good quality instruments within the traditional music community.
