NPU Annual Tionól 2024 – Tipperary
Na Píobairí Uilleann’s annual Tionól 2024 will take place on Friday 24th May to Sunday 26th May in the Anner Hotel, Dublin Road, Thurles Co. Tipperary, Ireland, E41 X789. As with previous years, the Tionól will include classes, Piper’s Chair, AGM, recital, lecture and the annual group photograph. The full programme of events is listed below.
Hotel bookings
For room reservations at the Anner Hotel, please book directly with the hotel on + 353 (0)504 21799. Please mention that you are attending the Tionól with Na Píobairí Uilleann when booking to secure the agreed prices for the weekend. The cost is €210 per person sharing including two nights Bed and Breakfast and one evening meal on the Saturday.
Classes
Class bookings for reedmaking and uilleann piping classes can be made by contacting info@pipers.ie or +353-1-8730093.
Spaces are limited. Class fees are as follows and are payable in advance over the phone or on the day:
Two day reedmaking classes: €70 members (€95 non-members)
- This reedmaking course will focus on reeds for flat chanters. This course is aimed at participants with reedmaking experience. The number of participants in this course is strictly limited and early registration is strongly advised.
One day uilleann pipes classes: €40 members (€55 non-members)

For those not staying in Anner Hotel but who would like to attend the dinner, please reserve in advance with Na Píobairí Uilleann and contact us directly to make payment (€37.95).
