International Uilleann Piping Day

On Saturday 1st November 2025, we celebrated International Uilleann Piping Day.

International Uilleann Piping Day is a global celebration of uilleann pipes which takes place annually on the first Saturday in November. This is a co-ordinated day of piping activities and events organised by Na Píobairí Uilleann aimed at raising awareness for this iconic Irish instrument and celebrating uilleann piping communities and enthusiasts around the world. To reflect its international appeal, events take place online and/or in person – ensuring everyone can have access to uilleann piping no matter where in the world they are based.

International Uilleann Piping Day was started  by Na Píobairí Uilleann in 2011. Next year marks the 15th anniversary of this global celebration – we hope you will join us in celebrating, wherever you are in the world. International Uilleann Piping Day is held on the first Saturday in November. IUPD 2026 will take place on Saturday 7th November 2026

Are you interested in hosting an event in 2026? We’d love to hear from you! Reach out to us at info@pipers.ie for more information.
