Breandán Breathnach Commemorative Event 2025

Saturday 6th December 2025

The Breandán Breathnach Commemorative Event takes place annually in Henrietta Street on the first Saturday in December. The events of the day celebrate all aspects of Breandán’s legacy and include piping tuition, reedmaking tuition, a lecture and piping performance, followed by a social gathering with informal music.

This year’s event will take place on Saturday 6th December in NPU’s HQ, 15 Henrietta St. Dublin 1. All members are welcome to attend. Full details of this year’s programme of events will be announced shortly.

7pm Reception

8pm Lecture on The “Piper” McGuinness Collection (c.1900) of Co. Leitrim with Conor Ward & John Tuohy

9pm Piping Recital with Kara Doyle, Gay McKeon & Brian McNamara
