Meath, Eanna Drury,Rathmichael, co. Dublin, Paddi Alice Benson,London and Shannon Kearney of Clonmel,co. Tipperary.The O’Mealy Pipemaking Scholarship wasawarded to Conor Roche Lancaster of Naul,co. DublinNPU BoardThe Board of Na Píobairí Uilleannremained much the same after the AGMin May, with just one change, as Ivan Crowedid not offer himself for re-election. Ivan’sexpertise in the field of physical infrastructureproved extremely valuable over many yearsand was greatly appreciated. Officers of theBoard are elected by the Board membersthemselves, and the first meeting of the post-AGM Board re-elected the outgoing officers.NPU Online LibrarYEdward Bunting’s third collection, TheAncient Music of Ireland (Dublin 1840),has been added to the NPU Online Libraryand is now available in full for members tobrowse or search. The addtion of this volume means thatBunting’s three collections are now availableon our site, in addition to An Píobaire andseveral other important collections of Irishmusic.The Online Library can be accessed at:www.pipers.ie/NPUPublic/Archive.aspxSouth WalesThe South Wales Uilleann Pipers presenttheir 2nd Annual Tionól on September5th at Holy Trinity Church, Tylorstown,South Wales.Tiarnán Ó Duinnchinn & Alan Burton will beinstructing the piping classes while MartinPreshaw & Alan Moller will be taking thereed making. The tionól will start at 10am andfinish at approx 4pm. There will also be aconcert of celtic music at the same locationstarting at 7.00pm.
