Na Píobairí Uilleann
CHOLARSHIPS are available for attendance at
summer schools in 2011. Subject to demand
a minimum of two scholarships will be reserved
for applications from non-Irish residents.
Successful applicants may attend the Willie
Clancy, South Sligo, Joe Mooney or The
Catskills Summer School.
In addition, Na Píobairí Uilleann will also
award the O’Mealy Pipemaking Scholarship

REGULAR EVENTS WITH NA PÍOBAIRÍ UILLEANN
WEEKLY NPU PIPING & REED-MAKING CLASSES: Held weekly on Tuesday nights 7pm to
8pm and 8pm to 9pm.
NPU RECITALS: Held on the first Tuesday of each month at 9:30pm The recitals for the
next few months will be held on the following dates:
March 1st – Gay McKeon (pipes), John Carty (fiddle), Brian Rooney (fiddle) and
Íde Nic Mhathúna (songs)
April 5th – Sheila Friel (pipes), Anna Friel (flute), Paddy Cronin (fiddle) and Paul
De Grae (guitar & piano)
NOTES & NARRATIVES: Held on the third Friday of each month at 8:30pm.
LEO ROWSOME COMMEMORATIVE EVENT: Held annually on the last Saturday in Febru-
ary. The 2011 event will be on the 26th February.
NPU TIONÓL: Held annually on the weekend before the last Monday of May, the 27th
May in 2011.
PIPING AND REED-MAKING MASTERCLASSES: Week-long classes are held during June,
July and August each year.
SCOIL SAMHRAIDH WILLIE CLANCY: Held annually on the first full calendar week in
July. It always starts on the first Saturday of July, the 2nd of July in 2011.
ACE & DEUCE OF PIPING CONCERT: Held annually on the first Saturday in October, the
2011 concert will take place on Saturday October 1st.
BREANDÁN BREATHNACH COMMEMORATION: Held annually on the first Saturday of De-
cember. The 2011 event will take place on Saturday, December 3rd.
