7 1 5 20110224 5 ~ NEWS & EVENTS ~ T HIS YEAR’S TIONÓL will be held on the weekend of 27-29 May in the Stephouse Hotel in Borris, co. Carlow. Borris is 30km south of Carlow town and 25km east of Kilkenny city. It is 90km from Dublin and 55km from Waterford. A full programme of events is being planned, and a preliminary programme is shown below. FRIDAY 27TH MAY 8:00pm : YOUNG PIPERS RECITAL SATURDAY 28TH MAY 10:00am-12:30pm & 1:30pm-3:30pm PIPING AND REEDMAKING CLASSES 4:00pm : ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 5:00pm : LECTURE 7:00pm : DINNER 9:00pm : LAUNCH OF NPU PUBLICATION 9:30pm : PIPING RECITAL 11:00pm : PIPER’S CHAIR SUNDAY 29TH MAY 11:00am : PIPERS CHAIR 1:00pm : GROUP PHOTOGRAPH A special Bed and Breakfast rate of €65 per person per night has been agreed with the hotel. The Tionól dinner on Saturday will cost €30. A limited number of twin and double of rooms are available in the hotel so early book- ing is recommended. Contact us on 01- 8730093 to book.
