Píobaire, An 9 4 7 20130930 7 IMCO T HE MUSIC FROM CEOL, the journal of Irish Music published by Breandán Breathnach from 1961 until his death, has now been digi- tised in Sibelius notation and made available on our website at www.pipers.ie/IMCO, as well as on Source.pipers.ie. Ceol was an indispensible publication in the 1960s and 1970s, when it was the only Irish journal carrying serious coverage of traditional music. As well as valuable articles about dif- ferent aspects of the music, each issue usually carried material from performers at the core of the tradition, singers and musicians, expertly transcribed by committed students of the music. Included among these were tunes from pipers Willie Clancy, Seamus Ennis, Andy Conroy and Liam O’Flynn, as well as other in- strumentalists and singers.
