7 2 28 20110510 28 MYSTERY PIPER M ICK O’CONNOR received the picture below from a Cork friend, Liam Ed- wards, who lived in Dublin in the 1960s and frequented the traditional music venues in the city at the time. Liam’s grandfather Bill Driscoll, born in Dou- glas in 1875 is second from the right in the pic- ture, and his brother Pad is at the extreme right. Liam's grandfather had 3 other brothers Dan (eldest), Daithi (who was the Principal in Dou- glas Boys NS) and Jim who lived across the road from O’Driscoll’s pub. Some of them may be in this photo also. We are anxious to determine the identity of the piper in the picture. Perhaps some of our Cork members might have some idea? ~ CORRESPONDENCE ~
