There are two aspectsto this task - one, the pro-vision of furniture and such,the ordering of the physicalsurroundings, and two, thereceiving and indexing ofpapers, books, newspapercuttings, letters, articles,pictures, photographs, slidestapes, music in writtenform, video recordings,pipes arid piping paraphena-ha and so on.The conditions now existwhereby material can besafely put under lock andkey, and access limited,until suitable arrangementsexist to display it or makeit generally available.We ask members andfriends who may possessanything listed above, toconsider donating it to theNPU archive. Sizeablecollections will of course bekept intact and named afterthe donor. However, nothingis too small to be forwar-ded and every item will begratefully received.Members who have hadmaterial in their possessionfor safe-keeping, while welacked a suitable premises,are asked to return thisnow to NPU.It is understandable thatpeople may wish to keepthings of interest, but themaking available of theseitems to a wide audienceby donation to the archive,should be seriously con-sidered. Also, with thepassage of time, it iscommon for families to dis-pose of material collectedby others.
