Tionól Dhún na nGall 2022

Na Píobairí Uilleann’s annual Tionól Dhún na nGall takes place this year between Friday 18th and Sunday 20th February 2022 in Teach Hiúdaí Beag, Bunbeg. Please note the change of venue. The full programme of events is available here and includes:

  • Classes in piping and pipes maintenance with Jane Walls, Buzz Ó Briain, and Martin Crossin;
  • Concert featuring Gay McKeon, Derek McGinley, Gearóidín Bhreathnach, Lachlan and Murdoch McKibbin;
  • Pipers’ Chairs;
  • An opportunity to ‘Try the Pipes’ for anyone who is interested.

 

The tionól will take place in Teach Hiúdaí Beag in Bunbeg, in the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht. Stunning views abound in the surrounding area. Previous years’ events have been very successful and those in attendance have reported a weekend full of music and camaraderie. The Saturday evening recital will take place in Amharclann Ghaoth Dobhair, a short distance away from Teach Hiúdaí Beag’s.
