7 2 7 20110510 7 REGULAR EVENTS WITH NA PÍOBAIRÍ UILLEANN WEEKLY NPU PIPING & REED-MAKING CLASSES: Held weekly on Tuesday nights 7pm to 8pm and 8pm to 9pm. NPU RECITALS: Held on the first Tuesday of each month at 9:30pm May 3rd – Mark Redmond (pipes), Donal O’Connor (fiddle), Jackie Daly (accor- dion) and Leon Agnew (flute) June 7th – Ciarán Mac Fheidhlimidh (pipes), Liz & Yvonne Keane (fiddles) and Doimnic Mac Giolla Bhríde (songs) July 5th – Donnacha Dwyer (pipes), Jacqui Martin (fiddle), Lorraine Sweeney (flute) and Nell Ní Chróinín (songs) NOTES & NARRATIVES: Held on the third Friday of each month at 8:30pm. May 20th – Pat Mitchell : Martin Reilly’s “O’Connor Don Reel” June 17th – Barry Gleeson : “Ulysses” in Song LEO ROWSOME COMMEMORATIVE EVENT: Held annually on the last Saturday in Febru- ary. NPU TIONÓL: Held annually on the weekend before the last Monday of May, the 27th May in 2011. PIPING AND REED-MAKING MASTERCLASSES: Week-long classes are held during June, July and August each year. SCOIL SAMHRAIDH WILLIE CLANCY: Held annually on the first full calendar week in July. It always starts on the first Saturday of July, the 2nd of July in 2011. ACE & DEUCE OF PIPING CONCERT: Held annually on the first Saturday in October, the 2011 concert will take place on Saturday October 1st. BREANDÁN BREATHNACH COMMEMORATION: Held annually on the first Saturday of De- cember. The 2011 event will take place on Saturday, December 3rd. CORRECTION T OM KLEIN requests that we record that his ar- ticle “Using Regulators as Drones”, which appeared in the last issue of An Píobaire, was pre- viously published in The Pipers’ Review, Vol XXVIII, no. 2 Summer 2010. GROUPS AROUND THE WORLD W E would like piping groups around the world to submit photographs of their gath- erings to be included in a special Gallery in our SOURCE website. Photographs can be submitted as prints or digital files, and should be accompa- nied by the names of the subjects.
