Get on your bike to support NPU Sponsored Cycle from Dublin to Miltown Malbay

5th Annual Sponsored Cycle – Dublin to Miltown Malbay
4-5th July 2014

The annual Na Píobairí Uilleann (NPU) sponsored cycle from Dublin to Milltown Malbay in Co. Clare for the Willie Clancy Summer School is on the horizon again and we are inviting you to support us to help raise €10,000 in 2014 towards our International Uilleann Piping Theatre Project.

Cyclists

Aimed at cyclists of all abilities, the cycle is punctuated by music, plenty of sport and provides NPU not only with a great opportunity to add to the €60,000 raised over the past three years – but also to raise awareness for the organisation, in particular for our new building No. 16, which will house the theatre, museum and pipemaking training centre.

International Uilleann Piping Centre & Theatre Project
Why we are Fundraising:
Following a Dublin City Council open public design competition, facilitated by the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland and planning approval by the Council in 2011, Na Píobairí Uilleann now has a unique opportunity to realize the design for number 16 Henrietta Street.

This landmark building reinstates the original Georgian Streetscape on one of Dublin’s most historic streets, creating an International Uilleann Piping Centre, Theatre, Training Facility and Archive showcasing this truly unique sound of Ireland – the Uilleann Pipes.
